Drama

Designed for participants of all levels, this program provides an inclusive environment to explore various themes and enhance your dramatic skills. Guitar/Ukulele

This dynamic summer program offers guitar and ukulele instruction for students at all levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Open. From building a strong foundation with chord and lead sheet reading to exploring advanced concepts like jazz voicings and chord progressions, students will develop their skills and musicality. Open level classes offer opportunity to sing while playing and explore versatile strumming patterns in the key of C. Through group lessons, individual practice sessions and recitals, this program aims to provide a supportive and engaging environment for students to grow, create, and deepen their appreciation for guitar, ukulele, and music as a whole.

Lightsaber Training

Ignite your inner Jedi or Sith and join us for an epic summer Lightsaber class! This open-level program offers an immersive and thrilling experience for participants to explore the arts of lightsaber combat and performance. Dive into a variety of exciting themes, including various flows, lightsaber history, role play, and lightsaber choreography. Through expert instruction and engaging activities, you will develop your lightsaber skills, master different combat styles, and learn the rich lore of significance of lightsabers in the StarWars universe. Music Composition

Throughout the summer our music composition class is open to students at all levels of experience and expertise. The program focuses on various themes essential to music composition. Students will explore chord creation and ear training, learning to construct harmonically pleasing progressions. They will study different song structures, such as verse-chorus and AABA, to effectively organize their musical ideas. The importance of impactful titles and meaningful lyrics will be emphasized, enhancing the storytelling aspect of compositions. Additionally, students will develop the art of crafting captivating melodies through contour, rhythm, and motif utilization. Through hands-on exercises and individual projects, students will receive feedback to refine their compositions and nurture their unique artistic voice. The class aims to provide a supportive and creative environment for students to explore their musical ideas and expand their compositional skills.

Musical Theatre

Our Musical Theatre class offers exciting opportunities for students at all levels to immerse themselves in the world of musical theatre. Throughout the course, students will explore various themes to enhance theri skills and understanding of this dynamic art form. They will dive into beloved musical favourites, expanding their repertoire knowledge and appreciation. Students will work on music theatre repertoire, focusing on character interpretation, storytelling, and vocal technique. Scenework exercises will allow them to develop stage presence, character development, and create compelling moments on stage. Vocal technique will be emphasised, including breath control, projection, and musicality. Students will also learn basic musical theatre choreography, enhancing their movement and expression. Through group exercises, individual coaching, and collaborative projects, students will enhance their skills, gain confidence, and develop a deeper love for musical theatre.

Piano

The summer piano class offers comprehensive instruction for students of all levels: Open, Beginner, and Intermediate. The classes cover key aspects of piano playing and music theory, with specific themes and skills tailored to each level. Beginners will learn finger numbers, piano posture, keyboard exploration, the musical alphabet, and dynamics. Intermediate students will delve into classical piano, explore improvisation in various keys, and participate in performance masterclasses. Open level students will focus on chor creating and ear training, pentascales and transposition, and major and minor keys. Throughout the summer, students will engage in group lessons, individual practice sessions, and performances to showcase their progress. The classes aim to provide a supportive and enriching environment, fostering growth, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the piano and music.

Special Classes

This summer, we are excited about our special classes for students of all ages. Open to anyone with an interest in exploring new instruments and rhythms, these classes are designed to provide unique and engaging musical experiences. From the vibrant melodies of Boomwhackers to the rhythmic possibilities of Bucket Drumming and the immersive world of Drums and Percussion, students will have the opportunity to discover and develop their musical skills. In addition to these exciting offerings, we have a diverse range of other special classes lined up, including hand drumming, world percussion, and experimental music exploration. Whether you’re a beginner or have prior musical experience, these special classes will expand your musical horizons and provide a fun and enriching summer learning experience.

 

Voice

These classes offer comprehensive vocal training for students at both the open, beginner, and intermediate levels. Students will explore various themes to enhance their singing possibilities. In the classes, students will focus on building a strong foundation in vocal technique and musical expression. They will learn proper breathing techniques, delve into jazz singing and repertoire, work on diction, phrasing, and vowel placement, explore the techniques of singing pop music, connect emotionally with songs, delve into songwriting, and gain insights into auditioning. Through vocal exercises, repertoire study, and personalized. feedback, students will improve their vocal technique, musicality, and performance skills. The class provides a supportive and nurturing environment to help students develop their unique voices, gain confidence, and explore the diverse aspects of vocal artistry.

Watercolour/Arts and Crafts
