Hello, Be Sharp families! As we say goodbye to 2023, it's time to hit the rewind button and countdown all of our milestones, highlights, and achievements from this past year.
10. Our Studio Growth: Over 50 Students and Counting!
Our community has grown, and we're overjoyed to share that our family now includes over 50 talented students. Each one contributing uniquely to our growth as a school.
9. New Programs
The stage was set for innovation, and we introduced Musical Theatre Classes and the enchanting D&D Bardic Tales composition and game class. The star of the show has been our Musical Theatre classes. These classes fill up quickly with overwhelming positive feedback.
8. Community Performances
We were the opening act at the Lion's Carol sing, an exciting occasion that marked the beginning of our journey to share music with the wider community. This is just the start – stay tuned for more pop-up recitals and community performances coming your way!
7. Classroom Upgrade: Where Tech Meets Musical Magic
Each classroom now boasts a TV with Google Chromecast, making music sharing and play-alongs a breeze. We've also invested in cutting-edge ear training and sightreading programs, along with recording software and equipment to capture our students musical journey.
6. Growing with the School
With growth comes challenges, but our incredible team has navigated them with grace. Proactive hiring, flexible scheduling, and a commitment to adaptability have kept the Be Sharp experience smooth for everyone.
5. Cozy New Studio Space
Our move to a new location allowed us to reimagine our lesson rooms. The result? Cozy spaces that feel like a cross between a home and a recording studio. Comfy couches, floor pillows, and warm wood furniture create a welcoming vibe for everyone.
4. Musical Bees
A special shout-out to Amanda, our Musical Bees Coordinator, for her stellar work in educating families on the power of music in bonding. The buzz around this program is not just musical but filled with the joy of shared moments.
3. Monday Pop Coffee Talk
Our journey into podcasting, "Monday Pop Coffee Talk," has been an exciting experience. From exploring experiments like "Do Cat's Respond to Music?" to sharing our holiday traditions, every episode is a closer sip to turning your Monday blues into a Monday pop!
2. Our Recitals
Our biannual recitals have become grand affairs, with students becoming incredible performers and us always trying to find ways to surprise our students. The support from our community always amazes us.
1. Our First Holiday Album
The grand finale of 2023 was the release of our first studio album, "Dreaming of a White Christmas." The warmth of the season, the joy of performance – it's all captured in this musical journey. It was so amazing watching our student learn about the recording process and watching their music come to life.
