We kicked off our very first Halloween Mini Concert at the studio-and what an amazing afternoon it was! Hosted right in our garage studio, this was the first of many little concerts we plan to hold here.
We had a fantastic turnout with students of all ages performing and families filling the space with encouragement. These mini concerts are a wonderful way for students to share what they’ve been working on in lessons and get comfortable performing in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Our performers brought so much creativity and variety to the stage! From spooky pieces like Black Cat on piano and Spooky Scary Skeletons on ukulele, to a guitar and vocal performance of Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo, and a drum rendition of Golden - everyone truly shined.
One of my favorite moments of the day was seeing a student encourage their friend to perform. Getting up to play in front of others can be nerve-wracking, but having a friend cheering you on can make all the difference. Watching that confidence grow was so special!
To wrap things up, we had a little extra time-so we decided to form a band on the spot! A few brave students joined me, and together we learned our parts to Monster Mash and played along with the recording. One student even tried the drums for the very first time! It was such a fun, spontaneous way to end the show.
I’m so proud of everyone who performed, encouraged, and participated. These are the moments that make Be Sharp such a vibrant, supportive community. I can’t wait for our next mini concert!
