Find Your Musical Match Today!

IMG_2280.JPG

Be Sharp Mash-Up is a collaborative opportunity where students are matched into duos, trios, or small groups to rehearse together at the studio.

Students choose their own music, rehearse independently, and build real ensemble skills while having access to teacher guidance when needed.

Mash-Up is a free enrichment opportunity available to currently enrolled Be Sharp students.

How it Works

Students can sign up by adding their name to the Mash-Up board in the waiting area

Students will list:

  • Their instrument

  • Instruments they would like to collaborate with (they may list more than one)

We Create the Mash-Up

We will carefully matches students based on:

  • Level and experience

  • Age range

  • Musical compatibility

  • Personality and work habits

Matches are not guaranteed immediately and may require a waiting period.

Rehearsal Booking

Once matched, families are contacted to schedule a rehearsal time at the studio.

  • Rehearsals are booked in 6-week blocks

  • 30-60 minutes per session

  • Student-led

  • Teacher support available when needed

Students will have access to studio instruments & resources during their rehearsal time.

At the end of each 6-week booking block, groups may:

  • Renew their rehearsal time (based on availability)

  • Take a break

  • Conclude their Mash-Up experience

Renewing groups receive priority for room booking. All scheduling and renewals remain at the studio’s discretion.

Repertoire & Performances

Groups select their own repertoire, with guidance available if needed.

If a group completes a performance-ready piece, they may be invited to perform at:

  • Studio concerts

  • Showcases

  • Special events

If a Student Leaves

If a participant is no longer able to continue:

  • We will attempt to re-match remaining members.

  • Those students will receive priority pairing.

What Students Gain

Be Sharp Mash-Up helps students develop:

  • Ensemble skills

  • Listening and balance

  • Stronger rhythm and timing

  • Leadership and collaboration

  • Musical independence

  • Confidence performing with others

Music is meant to be shared. Mash-Up gives students the opportunity to experience music beyond individual lessons and grow within a collaborative environment.
