Studio Policies & Procedures

GENERAL STUDIO POLICIES

Pick Up and Drop Off

  • Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your lesson. If you are late for your lesson that time will be deducted. Please be on time to pick up your children from lessons. The studio is not responsible for before and after care.

 

Open Door Policy

  • Parent’s are welcome to sit in during lessons. 

 

Photo and Video Release

  • Photos and videos of students may be taken to use on my website and other locations including Facebook and Instagram.  If you wish to exempt your child’s imagery from being published, please let me know.

 

Liability

  • Parents, legal guardians, students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on studio property resulting from normal lesson activity or any other activity conducted by students, during lessons.

Inclement Weather

  • Unless otherwise notified by phone or email, we will continue with lessons. All students will be able to move lessons online through zoom. It is the student's (or students parents) responsibility to organize with us.


PAYMENTS

Invoicing and Payment

  • Your lesson tuition is invoiced once per month. Invoices are sent the first week of the month and payment is due 15 days after invoice is received.

 

Late Payment

  • A $10 late fee will be charged if payment has not been received by the due date. If you have any concerns regarding your payment date, please contact the studio ASAP.

  • Lesson time slots may be forfeited if payment has not been made.

 

Credits

  • Credits for any lessons a teacher may have missed will be applied to the student's next invoice. Qualified refunds will be made within 3-5 days of discontinued lessons.

 

MISSED LESSON POLICY

Missed Lessons

  • If your lesson is cancelled by the studio (for reasons such as teacher illness or teacher vacation - not scheduled studio closure dates), your lesson will be rescheduled for a time that is mutually convenient for you and the studio. If such a time cannot be found, you will receive a credit for this missed lesson.

  • Lessons cancelled by the student (for reasons such as student illness or student vacation) are not eligible for refund, and th0ugh our staff may attempt to reschedule lessons missed due to student cancellations, this is not a guarantee.

  • Lesson fees are not refunded due to student absence.  Your weekly lesson fee reserves you a weekly time slot for the entire school year. 

 

Vacation and Holidays

  • The studio will provide a calendar of vacation, holidays and programs at the beginning of each month. 

  • If your lesson occurs on a vacation day (NOT a studio closure day), you will not be charged for that lesson.

  • Studio closure dates (Winter Break, March Break & stat holidays) are not considered studio cancellations, and are not eligible to be rescheduled or refunded.


Discontinued Lessons

  • Students who would like to discontinue lessons must provide 14 days notice. Any unused lessons can be refunded only if a minimum of 14 days notice is given. 


LESSON MATERIALS

Instrument Rental

  • We currently provide a ukulele rental for $10/week to current students (available while ukuleles are in stock). 

 

Equipment and Supplies

  • Students will need their own instruments at home to practice on. I am more than happy to provide instrument recommendations if needed! You are required to purchase your own books and supplies. I am happy to recommend any instruments and supplies you may need. You are also able to purchase books through myself.
